This commercialization grant will help locate a customer base for a point of care (POC) device to detect Zika and other arbovirus infections. The device will improve upon currently used POC devices by using a molecularly imprinted polymer. The polymer is synthesized in an environment where the template can subsist for duration of the imprint. The device will effectively function in low resource settings.
