Funding supports the Mi Hermana project, a multi-goal initiative designed to equip women with the tools, resources, and support needed to care for their body, mind, and spirit. The project establishes leadership and implementation capacity by identifying a primary point of contact with the Healthy Americas Foundation (HAF) by August 15, 2025, and by selecting up to ten lead community health workers by September 30, 2025. These lead workers participate in a bilingual, two-hour Training of Trainers webinar series and complete certification and continuing medical education (CME) requirements. Ongoing work includes recommending and refining training materials for use with participants, promotors, and community health workers. Additional project goals focus on building a cadre of Latina Health Champions, also referred to as Women in Action, to support peer-led education and outreach. Activities further amplify MHLHC's efforts, sustain participant engagement throughout the project period, and maintain consistent, effective communication practices. Together, these coordinated goals strengthen community-based leadership, expand culturally responsive health education, and support long-term well-being among participating women.
