The goals of our currently funded NSF project are to increase phylogenetic and taxonomic resolution within phylum Rotifera by investigating phylogenetics of Superorder Gnesiotrocha at broad and fine scales. In addition, this work will be instrumental in resolving relationships among rotifer families. Further it will allow for exploring rates of molecular evolution, as well as the rates and drivers of cryptic speciation.
