This research will mature the concept of self-uncollimation to develop a radically miniaturized integrating sphere. The anticipated device is a spatially-variant self-uncollimating photonic crystal to act a bit like a reverb chamber. Randomness will also be studied to achieve a uniform distribution of power at the edges of the integrating sphere.
