The UTEP / University of California, Santa Barbara partnership has received supplementary funding from the National Science Foundation for their "Molecular and Interfacial Phase Design for Improved Photovoltaics" project, which has been underway for the past five years. The supplementary funding will be used to continue the highly productive work centered on fundamental photovoltaic aspects, from new photoactive materials and transparent conducting electrodes to interfacial studies and theoretical aspects of charge transfer.
