This task order supports a set of integrated education, training, and mission-support activities carried out in collaboration with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and Amentum. Work includes designing and delivering Earth and planetary science curriculum for astronaut candidates, as well as providing classroom, laboratory, and field instruction for both international astronaut cohorts and NASA engineers, managers, and technical staff. Additional responsibilities include developing the Artemis crew field training curriculum and participating in mission operations as a Science Evaluation Room Communicator (SERCOM), a specialized flight control role supporting Artemis missions, beginning with Artemis II. Broader contributions encompass lunar science, exploration planning, and collaborative technical projects with NASA and Amentum teams. The task order supports full-time effort and required travel, including participation in major professional forums such as the Lunar and Planetary Science Conference and the Lunar Exploration Analysis Group meeting.
