In this project, UTEP PIs will design, construct, and perform systems configuration analysis of a pressurized oxy-coal swirl combustor. Advanced additive manufacturing using direct metal laser sintering and electron beam melting will be utilized to fabricate the burner modules. The use of the additive manufacturing techniques provides complex burner geometry and a shorter manufacturing lead time.
