The Texas Manufacturing Assistance Center (TMAC) strengthens the competitiveness of Texas manufacturers by delivering hands-on training, technical assistance, and implementation support grounded in proven business practices. Services are tailored to the needs of small and mid-sized firms, with a focus on lean manufacturing, office operations, technology adoption, strategic management, quality systems, environmental performance, and workplace safety. Statewide access to affordable support ensures that manufacturers in rural and underserved areas can participate in continuous improvement efforts that would otherwise be out of reach. A unique public–private partnership model leverages federal resources alongside partner funding and customer fees, reinforcing firms’ commitment to invest in their own growth. By strengthening supplier relationships between small and large manufacturers, TMAC helps keep capital circulating within the Texas economy while delivering measurable gains for participating companies and the state’s manufacturing sector as a whole.
