This research project aims to understand how complex structures (ionic and non-ionic micro-domains) in carbon capture solvents (CCS) form, and how these structures govern physical and thermodynamic properties. In support of this goal, the molecular-level structure of CCS will be obtained using advanced x-ray and neutron scattering and diffraction techniques.
