Liver Wise is a three-year initiative funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to expand outreach and education on chronic liver disease, with a particular focus on metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) among Hispanics and other disproportionately affected populations. Because MASLD can often be prevented and, in some cases, reversed, the project centers on increasing awareness and improving understanding of risk, prevention, and disease management. Efforts target both healthcare providers and community audiences, with the goal of strengthening early education and reducing the burden of liver disease in high-risk populations.
