The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) is implementing a workforce training project under the U.S. Department of Education Rehabilitation Long-Term Training Program, Rehabilitation Counseling (84.129B), to increase the number of vocational rehabilitation counselors serving Southwest Texas and New Mexico. Structured as a scholarship-for-service training award, the project expands access to professional preparation pathways that strengthen regional capacity to support individuals with disabilities in education, employment, and independent living.
