This Subgrant Agreement (\"Agreement\") enables WBCSD to utilize a portion of the funds granted by Cummins to achieve the following objectives in the Paso del Norte Region: Overarching Objective: To boost the adoption of water conservation measures within underserved communities, contributing to the broader water conservation initiatives in the Paso del Norte region. Specific Objectives: Objective 1. Enhance Water Efficiency: Aimed at significantly lowering water consumption in underserved communities by installing water-efficient fixtures, thereby supporting the wider water conservation goals in the Paso del Norte region. Objective 2. Promote Sustainable Practices: Dedicated to encouraging environmental responsibility and sustainable water usage among residents of underserved areas through education and the provision of resources, in conjunction with the installation of water-saving fixtures. As part of this initiative, water-efficient fixtures will be installed in 50 homes within the colonias of Hueco Tanks. This will include devices such as aerators for kitchen and bathroom sinks, water-saving showerheads, and low-flow toilets. The water savings achieved through this program will be meticulously quantified. Furthermore, educational materials on water conservation will be distributed to at least 100 residents of the colonias, aiming to foster a community-wide commitment to sustainable water use.
